We'd like to start by saying thank you for thinking of us and for being part of our wedding day. We appreciate our network of friends and family who have supported us and brought us to this very happy moment in our lives.

Thank you for sharing our day with us, and please understand that your presence is gift enough. We appreciate any gifts we receive, but please understand that they are truly not necessary, especially since we received a great outpouring of generosity when we purchased our home. By that token, we have provided some suggestions for charities that you can direct your generosity towards in lieu of gifts to us. For those who do choose to provide gifts, we've compiled a list below, rather than preparing a formal registry at a particular store. We hope that this format will offer flexibility and allow the discerning shoppers we know & love to do what they do best.

Charities

General

  • cash gifts that we gratefully receive can be directed to installing new windows in our drafty century home, or can be directed towards purchasing a new bed
  • gift cards

Linens

  • Queen-sized goose-down duvet
  • Queen sheets
    • Neutral colours to match our bedroom decore (white, light brown, dark brown, grey)
  • Towels, because Sarah-Beth has an unhealthy obsession with terrycloth of all shapes and sizes
    • Greys, blues, and neutrals like brown or beige to match our bathroom decore

Kitchenware

  • rice cooker so Sarah-Beth can stop gumming up pots when (over)cooking rice
  • electric kettle
    • key features: stainless steel, auto-off function (i.e. the don't burn down the house feature), ideally cordless
  • ceramic-coated cast-iron pots and pans
    • one large enough to cook pasta sauce with the tomatoes from our garden
    • one tiny enough to boil some eggs or heat a couple servings of soup
    • a decent-sized pan
  • glass storage containers
    • all sorts of sizes and shapes
  • teapot
    • large enough to serve 4 to 6 cups
  • pasta bowls
    • Ryan doesn't know the difference, but Sarah-Beth appreciates a nice set of flat shallow bowls for pasta or soup. White or navy blue will match our current dinnerware.
